We use cookies to try and give you a better experience in Freshdesk.
You can learn more about what kind of cookies we use, why, and how from our Privacy policy. If you hate cookies, or are just on a diet, you can disable them altogether too. Just note that the Freshdesk service is pretty big on some cookies (we love the choco-chip ones), and some portions of Freshdesk may not work properly if you disable cookies.
We’ll also assume you agree to the way we use cookies and are ok with it as described in our Privacy policy, unless you choose to disable them altogether through your browser.
If a UN/LOCODE is missing from your location list, you can now add it yourself instead of contacting support. You can use the new locode in a port call’s Previous port and Next port fields as soon as it’s saved.
Go to Settings > Port call > Locations > Add new. This is only available for users who can update settings.
In the New location dialog, choose Add > New locode. Enter the five-character code (two letters for the country, followed by three letters or digits) and a name. The country is filled automatically. You’ll get a message if the code already exists or has the wrong format.
The Locations list now shows all locations, including the standard UN/LOCODE list, so you can check whether a locode already exists before adding it. The list opens with the new Added manually filter set to Yes, so you only see your port’s own locations at first. Clear the filter to search all locations.
Grieg Connect will still update the locode list for all ports regularly when new codes are published.
